    Description

    These 2 vintage boxes have been with me since the early 70's.  These 2 varying sized boxes both have an intricately hand carved floral design, are made of Sheesham wood, have an oval and a circular area that is inlayed with white flowers and leaves, have brass hinges, and have a purple felt lining.  The lining is kept in place by a small strip of a lighter wood.  There are nails visible at the bottom.  The large box measures 7 x 5.25 x 2.75 inches in size, and the small box measures 3 x 2.5 x 1.5 inches. There is a slight split of the wood on the bottom of the large box, and one of the bottom corners of the small box has chipped.  There is also a dark stain in the bottom of the large box.  I have treasured these for years, but it is time to let someone else enjoy them.  They can be used for a multitude of purposes, or will just look elegant on a shelf.
